Growing in the Love of Christ

The love of Christ is one of the most foundational truths of the Christian faith, but we must examine whether familiarity has caused us to take it for granted. In Ephesians 3:14-21, Paul describes falling on his knees and pleading for believers to grow in knowing the love of Christ. This reminds us that the love of Jesus is not elementary or entry-level Christianity. It is the deepest and most profound reality of our faith, and growing in it must be our greatest priority. Left unchecked, the busyness of life and constant exposure to Christian language can cause this extraordinary truth to become white noise rather than the most transformative news we have ever heard.
