The desire for meaning is rooted deep within humankind it’s a desire that keeps humankind alive. Therefore, we search for it all over this world but the fundamental thing we learned last week is that we won’t find it. One doesn’t find meaning “Under the sun” but in the creator of the Sun.
In chapter two Solomon uses his personal testimony to demonstrate to the reader how life’s meaning cannot be found in anything that the world can offer and he begins with pleasure.
