Your "As You Go" Calling

The Christian life is not a calling reserved for missionaries, pastors, or organized church events — it is an "as you go" calling lived out in the ordinary rhythms of your everyday life. In the pattern Jesus modeled in Luke 5-10, as well as the Great Commission in Matthew 28:18-20 and the Great Commandment in Matthew 22:37-40, it is clear that God has already placed each of us in a mission field. Our workplaces, neighborhoods, friendships, hobbies, and daily routines are not accidental. They are strategic. The church gathers on Sundays not as a destination, but as a refueling station — so that the scattered church can go and represent Jesus wherever life takes them.
