Hope for the Waiting
Nov 8, 2026 • Pastor Brian Long
In 1 Thessalonians 4:13-5:11, the Apostle Paul writes to a church that is grieving, waiting, and wondering what the future holds. The central truth of the passage is this: Christ's return changes how we grieve, live, and prepare for tomorrow. Paul does not give the Thessalonians a timetable for when Jesus will return. He gives them something better—a reason to hope, a reason to live faithfully, and a reason to encourage one another. These same gifts are ours today.
